It's not that hard

People often say that relationships are complicated.  Spiritual growth is hard,  Some would even go so far as to say that change is impossible.  Really?  So let's take each bullet point and I'll share my thoughts...

• Relationships are complicated.  Can we agree on that?  The question is why?  Since the fall, we know shame, so much of our junk is hidden.  And we are the ones who hide it.  So much so that we don't even realize how screwed up we really are.  Pride also gets in the way.  And then we all suffer from blindness when it comes to our own faults.  Don't worry - all your junk will show up in relationship or community.  You can't help it.  It bubbles to the surface like swamp gas.  Yes, you can attempt to hide it but you will fail.  And the closer the relationship, the more apparent our faults become.  Application:  people you care about, trusted friends know your faults.  Bring it into the light and deal with it.
• Spiritual growth is difficult - hogwash.  Get busy and apply yourself.
• Change is difficult but not impossible.  So quit being such a wuss and get busy.  The rewards are amazing!  The truth will set you free.
